NAMCO Bandai is trying something completely different with their new fighter. Tekken Revolution is releasing Tuesday, June 11th for free on the PSN. Gamers will have access to a cast of 8 characters with which to battle AI, or friends online. The game will feature new “super arts” and a unique leveling system. Characters can be leveled to increase vigor, endurance, or strength. Depending on which you focus on you can build an offensive character, or maybe a character tooled to endure heavier beatings from an opponent. This could give rise to an entirely new style of fighting games. Free to play has already been successful in many other genre’s can this draw more players to the world of Tekken? I certainly hope so.
