Star Wars, on their official youtube channel, has released a full HD scene from each movie to whet your appetite for the new Blu-ray release. (You can order it on Amazon here.)
Be sure you watch each of these clips in full 720p. They’re gorgeous.
First we have a podracing scene from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace:
This clip from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones offers us a look at the beginning of The Clone Wars:
Then, from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, we have a piece of Obi-wan and Anakin’s climactic duel on Mustafar:
Here, we get a fantastic look at first Star Destroyer flyby and some of the battle aboard the Tantive IV from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope:
This clip from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back is one of the most striking moments in the entire saga: the beginning of the end of Vader’s fight with Luke on Bespin:
And finally, we have the “Return of the Jedi” sequence from Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi:
The Blu-rays come out on September 16th (the same day the season 4 opening of The Clone Wars premieres.)
