Big Shiny Robot! has teamed up with the Salt Lake City Public Library (the Downtown Location!) to present to you a comic book movie and a panel about it. This is a regular screening series and so far we’ve shown the 1990 “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “The Rocketeer.”
This Thursday, we’ll be gathering at the Downtown Library auditorium to watch what might be the finest of Batman films: “Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.”
It’s free, and is followed by a panel discussion featuring myself (Bryan Young), fellow robot and Geek Show panelist Jeff Vice, Greg Gage (Black Cat Comics), and David Landa (Dr. Volt’s Comics.) The movie starts at 6:30 pm, with the panel discussion afterward. We’ll be talking about Batman, the film, the animated series, and anything else the audience asks about.
But wait! There’s more!
Bill Galvan (Archie Comics) has drawn us two exclusive posters featuring the film for us. A rare few will be available on the night of the screening for sale for $15 each. These are limited to 10 per print, so show up early and snag these quickly.
They’re absolutely beautiful and any fan of the film (or even Batman in general) is going to want one.
We hope to see you there!
