Well, hello there Chadwick Boseman. Welcome to super stardom. As Latino Review states so marvelously (HAHA), the comics giant has been pretty superb about finding newcomers and shooting them into megastars. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, soon Chris Pratt… Hell, even RDJ enjoyed a probable 300% surge in popularity after merging with portraying Tony Stark.
Here’s hoping that Boseman gets to join the team as T-Challa, Marvel’s Black Panter. He’s got chops for sure – if you haven’t seen “42” please go do so immediately (I don’t like sports, but I love sports movies), and is the perfect age. I don’t like my superheroes too young. It weirds me out. Most importantly, he is not one of the names on the short list of men of color who are already wildly famous. ‘Cause, you know, damn Hollywood. Get with the program.
At any rate, the casting is less important to me than the choice of using the Man Without Fear storyline.
