Variety has reported that Guillermo Del Toro has officially signed on to direct The Hobbit and a second movie, bridging all the goings on in Middle Earth between the Hobbit and the events in Lord of the Rings. In fact, he’s expected to move to New Zealand for the next 4 years as soon as Hellboy is finished.
