‘Toe Tag Riot’ by Matt Miner

What do you get when you add punk rock, zombie curses, and mega-jerks like the KKK and the Westboro Baptist Church? A riot, that’s what. A “Toe Tag Riot” to be specific. TTR is the upcoming comic series from author Matt Miner (Liberator).

A hilariously gory mash up of rad stuff like Night of the Living Dead, a GWAR live show, and hardcore punk rock, TOE TAG RIOT is a tongue-in-cheek, lighthearted torrential downpour of blood and guts sure to please anyone who LOVES FUN and HATES JERKS like Million Moms, Nazi Skinheads, Dudebros and the Westboro Baptist Church!”

The story takes place in 2000 and follows a struggling punk band cursed with temporary zombification anytime they play their music. The curse was meant to destroy their careers, which might have worked if they were… I don’t know, the Dixie Chicks. Being a punk band it is a boon to their popularity, but there’s a problem. The transformation back to regular, slightly less dead looking, human beings is taking longer and longer, so the band takes to the road for one last tour in an attempt to find a cure to their affliction.

Along the way they come into contact with every type of human scum you can imagine, and being ethically minded, point their inhuman hunger at people who deserve it.

Zombies eat the Phelps, what else do you need?

“Toe Tag Riot” is currently campaigning on Kickstarter with four days and $5,000 to go. If you want to see this book become a reality, consider pledging, there are plenty of fancy goodies including copies of the book, shirts, original artwork, and more.

Check it out, let’s start a riot.
