This Week at the Comic Shop! July 6, 2011

Welcome back to the wonderful world of comics! We’ll start out looking at what Wonderbot will be reading this week, then we’ll talk about new releases Wonderbot is psyched about.

This week Wonderbot is reading:

Ozma Of Oz #8 (of 8)- The savage battle with the Nome King and his endless army continues. But even if Dorothy and her friends can escape the underground Nome Kingdom, they’ll have to leave their friend the Tin Woodman behind. Not even the Nome King’s magic can find the enchanted Tin Woodman. And without her silver shoes will Dorothy ever be able to return to Uncle Henry?

Tales From Neverland #2 (of 3)- The Daughter of a chief…a princess and the future ruler of her tribe, Tiger Lilly was once one of the most powerful people in all of Neverland. Then she fell under the spell of the new and mysterious stranger known as Pan. Seduced and tricked by his lies she fell from her people and her father’s favor. To regain her honor and prove that she is not in league with Pan and his evil plans Tiger Lilly she must face him and defeat him…and she must do it alone.

I Zombie #15- The quiet town of Eugene has suddenly gotten very loud. Gwen and her friends have their hands full when a whole mess of zombies roams the streets, but these aren’t nice and cuddly zombies like Gwen. And when the Dead Presidents get to town, things get really complicated. Meanwhile, just what has Galatea been making from all of those dead bodies she’s been stitching together down in her secret lab?

Superboy #9- Trapped in the twisted lair of the Hollow Men, Superboy, Psionic Lad and Simon must wage a desperate battle for the souls of Smallville!

Sweet Tooth #23- With the amazing discovery of Walter Fish’s home, Gus and the gang finally feel like they’ve found a sanctuary, a place where they could live in peace for the rest of their lives. But one bullet will shatter it all in an instant. ‘Endangered Species’ concludes in dramatic fashion, and the world of SWEET TOOTH will never be the same.

Chew #19-Welcome to Area 51, Tony Chu. Would you like some steak sauce with your dead extraterrestrial?

That’s what I’m reading this week! There are some new first issues and trades coming out this week as well.

X-files 30 Days Of Night TPB- Two of the most popular horror properties of the last two decades collide in this harrowing six-issue adventure of epic proportions.
