We all know that Vin Diesel had a meeting with Marvel a few weeks ago, and speculation has run rampant as to the details of that encounter. Many assumed he would be playing an important part in one of their upcoming movies, and the ruling opinion was that he would be the voice/persona of Thanos. Well with the announcement that Avengers 2 would feature Ultron and not Thanos as the big bad, that idea was put on the back burner, so the guessing game has started over again.
We may now have our answer.
Today, on Facebook, Vin Diesel posted a pic of Groot of Guardians of the Galaxy fame, so it’s safe to guess that he will be voicing the role of that character. Of course, the only line he will have to record is “I am Groot”, so I’m willing to bet that he will set the record for getting paid the most for doing the least amount of work.
This is still all part of the rumor mill, so everyone may be jumping the gun, but it seems to fit into what Diesel is alluding to.
