REVIEW: Haunt of Horror: Lovecraft

This is a three part series, featuring comic book adaptations of H.P. Lovecraft short stories. Written by Richard Corban, who also does all the art for the book as well.

I really like the look of this book, they are all done in black and white, which I think adds to the horror effect, and each story is accompanied by the original writings of Lovecraft, which is just cool.

They did a total of 9 stories (3 per book) and I think they were all done really well. I think my favorite was “Dogan” Which is the first story in the first book.  Some of the adaptations came from Poems which I was surprised by. Richard Corban was able to capture the essence of them and fill in the gaps to turn them into working creepy comic book stories.

There really isn’t much to say, If you are interested in H.P.Lovecraft at all, shell out the 4 bucks an issue and pick these up, they are certainly worth reading.
