Preview of Star Wars #2, and Dark Horse puts some SW titles in Spanish

Whet your appetite for the second issue of Brian Wood’s Star Wars comic!

Did you get excited by the first issue of the new ongoing Star Wars comic, written by Brian Wood and drawn by Carlos D’Asta? Swank and I sure did, as seen in our review. Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive sneak peek at Issue #2, with Han Solo and Chewbacca having a run-in with the Mandalorian bounty hunter, Boba Fett. I can’t wait to see the two-page spread that sadly gets cut down in this online format. (Speaking of two-page spreads, Issue #1 has a great two-page piece of a Star Destroyer launching waves of TIE fighters, that I totally missed when reading the issue in the electronic format that I get for reviews – The print version is always better!) Issue #2 (DarkHorse.com profile) comes out on February 13.

In other news from Dark Horse, their digital department has announced the release of three Spanish-language edition versions of some earlier Star Wars trades. If Guerras de las Galaxias is your Star Wars, check out these digital versions:

  • El Imperio: Traición (Empire: Betrayal) – The first volume in the Empire series with a story of treason within the Imperial ranks just before A New Hope
  • La Guerra de los Clones – Aventuras (Clone Wars Adventures) – The first volume in the digest-sized Clone Wars Adventures line has three stories
  • La Guerra de los Clones: La Defensa de Kamino (Clone Wars: Defense of Kamino) – The first Clone Wars trade from the Republic and Jedi series.

Dark Horse Digital even has a handy bundle of all three for $20.
