FOX has started to shoot the upcoming series “Gotham” that is set in a time before Bruce Wayne becomes Batman. Of course the internet being what it is, we already have some photos from the set. First off we have Ben McKenzie (he’ll always be Ryan to me) as a young James Gordon.
I think he looks solid. He’s done the cop thing in shows before and I think he has the right feel. He can act like a cop and stand like a cop (harder than you’d think to get right) and I am excited to see what he can do.
Next up we have a picture of a young Oswald Cobblepot played by Robin Lord Taylor.
I’m also loving this look. The glasses tie everything together perfectly but he doesn’t look like some unbelievable caricature. I never really put a ton of thought into it as a kid but of course Cobblepot would be a young man around the same time Gordon was working his way up in the GCPD. I’m really excited for this to air, I think it’ll be an interesting bit of Batman lore and I’m always happy to get comics properties on TV.
