Press have descended on the Salt Palace bright and early this Thursday morning to view the opening press conference for the first Salt Lake Comic Con: Fan Experience. Hosted from the bridge of the Star Trek Enterprise Dan Farr Productions set forth kick off the festivities with a bang.
A Governor And His Bobble Head
Jason David Frank kicked off the meeting by introducing Dan Farr to a stage full of local heroes, while he rode in on a Harley Davidson accompanied by the Jazz Bear and a slew of confetti guns.
Once taking the stage Mr. Farr re-thanked the police, fire department, and military personnel on stage, before introducing Salt Lake City Governor Gary Herbert, and Bryan Brandenberg quickly joined the two.

After a few jokes and an ask for citizens to look out for one another, even quoting the lantern oath Governor Herbert declared April 17, 2014 Comic Con Super Hero day in Utah.
