In December of 2014, artist Norm Breyfogle suffered a stroke that paralyzed the left side of his body leaving him unable to draw. He is recovering, but his hospital care and the time he will spend in a nursing home have created insurmountable medical costs.
Breyfogle worked on several books over his career, but is perhaps best known for his run on Batman titles in the early 90’s. And since my friend Eric considers him a defining Bat artist, he’s created this amazing Batman art for auction, and he will donate all the money raised to Breyfogle’s fundraiser.
Eric’s an incredibly talented artist, and one of my favorite people in the world to talk comics with. I learn something about artists and art in general every single time I talk to him. You can click over to Eric’s site to learn how to bid on this amazing work, and to read his tribute to Norm Breyfogle.
If you’re unable to meet the minimum bid of $50 but still want to help, you can donate directly to the cause here.
