TELEVISION: Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” to have repercussions in “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” releases in theaters this Friday, November 8th, and with it comes news that the blockbuster film will have an effect on the ongoing adventures of Agent Coulson and his team in Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Marvel has released the synopsis for an upcoming episode titled “The Well” which reads:

“In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World,” Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces–one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team”

While I guess that is more of a tease than a synopsis, that’s what Marvel is calling it. This episode will air on November 19th. So for the Marvel completist in you make sure you go see “Thor: The Dark World” before then. Other than having an awesome guest star, Peter Macnicol, this episode will have an awesome director! Jonathan Frakes, Commander Riker from “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, will be directing this episode. While not his first time directing, it will be this bots first time seeing him direct something out of the Trek universe.

This first crossover-ish episode will be interesting. I’m curious to see how it plays out becuase this is the first theatrical release for Marvel to happen during the run of their TV show set in the same universe.
