Rob Paulsen, Jim Cummings, and Jess Harnell were delightful in last weekend’s Saturday Morning Cartoon panel (if you missed it we have audio right here) at Salt Lake Comic Con Fan X. Luckily that wasn’t the only appearance those gentlemen made during the convention. As well as having tables where fans could interact, they also sat down together to do a table read featuring a modified script for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
After seeing the talent and charisma of these three together, the prospect of watching them read from “Harry Potter” in various character voices, playing off each other, seemed like a gift from the con gods, and it was. Like the Planeteers they are talented and capable on their own, but with their powers combined you get this fantastic rhythm.
While we weren’t able to pull audio for this panel, through the power of the internet we were able to find some video of the voice actors reading a few scenes with a little help and participation from the audience. All three of the guests expressed plans to attend again in September so if you didn’t catch them at Fan X and you enjoy the audio and video of their panels (how could you not?) make sure to visit them next time. You won’t be disappointed.
