The long-awaited Mirror’s Edge Catalyst premiered a first-look trailer at E3 2015 this morning.
Producer Sara Jansson understands that expectations are high, and that fans came to truly love the ground breaking original when it hit shelves in 2007, saying:
- Coming out of the original game, we learned a lot from our fans about what makes this title truly unique. They loved the skill-based, first-person movement, the stylized look of the world, and of course, Faith. We wanted to honor that, but at the same time offer a new experience because this game is not meant to be a sequel.
- The team spent a lot of time re-evaluating those aspects of the game to create a new Mirror’s Edge experience for this generation. This meant pushing the boundaries of first-person movement, and diving deeper into Faith’s origin story, while also offering new gameplay for our players. We’re excited to see what our fans think when they see Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
