Batman Graphic Novel Countdown 9 and Counting

This is getting harder and harder to keep up with, so today I am reviewing a short graphic novel called “The Killing Joke” written by Alan Moore, with pencils by Brian Bolland, whom is currently doing the covers to jack of fables.

This is a great book. I think this is the best joker has ever been written. He is scary, but at the same time he somehow makes sense. I think this is also the most insane that he has even been. The Killing joke is very tight, Joker breaks out of Arkham, goes to commissioner Gordon’s house, shoots Barbara Gordon in the spine, beats Gordon up, takes him to a carnival and makes him go on a ride looking at pictures of shot in the spine naked Barbara, naked. The joke is that he thinks he can make commissioner Gordon go loony with just one bad day, he even sings him a song about going loony, it is quite good. It also tells you the origin story of the Joker while this is all happening, at the end of the comic book the Joker makes the Batman laugh. I hate how good this comic book is.
