Variety is reporting that Ray Fisher has been tapped to play Victor Stone, better known as Cyborg, in the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” flick. Fisher is best known for his stage work including a performance as Muhammad Ali in “Fetch Clay, Make Man.”
More like “Fetch Tech, Make Awesome-Battle-Cyborg…”
Fisher was reportedly also being tested for a role in “Star Wars Ep. 7,” presumably this commitment will preclude him from participating in ‘the saga.’ His only other screen credit is a short film titled “The Good, the Bad, and the Confused” where one afternoon in a psychiatrist’s office in Jersey- hold the proverbial phone…
Cyborg is going to be in “Batman vs. Superman?” Wonder Woman too! It’s beginning to look a lot like a Justice League movie, or at least the makings of one.
According to Variety, sources within Warner and DC confirm that while Fisher’s role in BVS is minimal it will increase as their cinematic universe is fleshed out. In short, with any luck (and a bit of box office success) we might finally get the Justice League movie we’ve always wanted and when “Batman vs. Superman” hits theaters we’ll get a good look at what that’s going to look like.
Using my formidable and jaw-dropping Photoshop skills (MS Paint) I’ve come up with a mock up for your enjoyment. It’s almost like looking at the real thing.
“Superman vs. Batman” is scheduled for release May 6, 2016.
