Wow. I am stunned– stunned– by some of these results. Storm just lightning-bolted through Kitty Pride. : ( So sad to lose one of my favorite X-gals. Also, sad that Rhodey didn’t make it past Mystique. I blame Hunger Games fans voting for Katniss, errr, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique from X-Men: First Class.
Next up– today’s matchups, the “winners” from the play-in round vs our super-popular #2 seeds. I’m betting we’ll see pretty one-sided voting today, but maybe having been through the brutal play-in round, these folks can marshal a victory? And for those of us who really, really hate Gambit, he’s going up against someone who I think is a contender to win the whole thing. We also get Spiderman vs one of His Amazing Friends, two of the most powerful mutant telepaths facing off, and Stan Lee vs one of his most epic creations. Let the voting begin!
