Just a short while ago if anyone had told us there would be a big budget “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie that probably isn’t going to suck, we would have relegated them to the shady street corner inhabited by doomsday preachers and “people of the night.”
Not so anymore. Children and adults alike are (im)patiently waiting the release of Marvel’s next cinematic adventure, the fact that it stars a talking raccoon and arboreal intelligence be damned. As expected the spike in the popularity of the characters means that we’ll of course be seeing more of them in the form of merchandizing, but also in other artistic forms. Some of the characters have already graced the screen in episodes of “Ultimate Spider-Man” and now Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord are getting their own series which hits stores today.
You can expect “Rocket Raccoon” and “The Legendary Star-Lord” to be very popular, while you can probably still snag issues of them at your local brick and mortar today, the first printing has been completely bought out and both series are going back to the printers for a re-print of their respective first issues.
