Between “TMNT: Out of the Shadows,” “X-Men: Apocalypse,” and “Independence Day: Resurgence” it’s been quite a week for trailers. We’ve been spoiled but, the party don’t stop til Kirk walks in, Spock’s in? No.
The trailer for the upcoming “Star Trek” threequel, “Star Trek Beyond” is here and it looks really fun. Details about the new flick are sparse and the trailer isn’t revealing any secrets other than that there is a new alien species, and lots of danger and excitement.
Simon Pegg helped pen the script to make it more “Star Trekky” and the handful of lines we get in these couple minutes feel right at home in the universe they’ve established. By the time the trailer ended I felt a number of things- first, Spock looks extra Spocky; second, I haven’t been this attracted to an alien since Kerrigan; Finally, I’m really, REALLY excited.
