Alright everybody, this is not a drill. The sequel to the greatest alien invasion movie of our generation is coming and like a portent of doom hovering over our city skies, the trailer is here.
This trailer has assuaged any fears I may have had about revisiting this material. In just over two minutes we get Jeff Goldblum being Jeff Goldblum. We get amazing visuals, massive alien ships, crazy bearded ex-Presidents, and an action sequence on the freaking moon.
this movie should be titled “Independence Day: This Time We’re F*%#ked.” I don’t know how we’ll get out of it this time around but I’m really excited to find out.
