Image comics announced Wednesday that all 250 issues of the ongoing comic series Spawn are now available in digital format. This is the first time that the entire series created by Image Comics co-founder and President Todd McFarlane will be available digitally. Fans can get this digital version of the iconic title on comiXology.com, iBooks, Google Play, and imagecomics.com.
Spawn #250 is a major milestone for the comic book. The title is currently the longest running independent comic book in history – debuting in 1992 – and issue #251 is the first issue not written by the title’s creator.
“For fans waiting to jump back into Spawn, this is the perfect time,” said Todd McFarlane. “Issue #250 marks the long anticipated return of the original Spawn, Al Simmons.”
Readers hoping to binge-read the series in anticipation the character Al Simmons’ return to the comic book can take advantage of comiXology’s exclusive bundling offer (available February 4-9).

Additionally, Image is publishing an additional one-shot comic book, Spawn Resurrection #1, introducing the new creative team taking the reins of the on-going series at #251: Esiner Award winning writer Paul Jenkins (Marvel Knights, The Darkness) and artist Jonboy Meyers (Marvel Adventures, Genext: United).
Jenkins was announced to replace the Spawn planned writer Brian Wood during January’s Image Expo. Wood will still be working under the Image name on the new series Starve.

Spawn Resurrection #1 will be available 3/4/2015.
