‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’

DC is doing their best to duplicate Marvel’s success and turn the latest Superman franchise into the overarching cinematic universe they need and, we the fans, so desperately want. We know that Zack Snyder will follow up “Man of Steel” with a Batman and Superman team up, we also know that orbital characters will also be present, including Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, setting the stage for a Justice League flick down the road.

Well now we know one more thing, the movie’s title. The next time you see Batman on the screen it will be in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

.

I hate to be a naysayer, I’m usually the one who’s eternally optimistic about almost everything. In truth, I’m still optimistic about this, I’ll still totally see it, and I’ll still reserve judgement until after I’ve seen it, like always.

Having said that- take a deep breath… and- “I think the ‘v’ is stupid, why didn’t they just do ‘vs.’ like normal people. I also don’t really care for this bat symbol it’s all squat and wide and looks like a marshmallow you might find in a bowl of Count Chocula. I mean, all things considered it looks like a cool poster and there’s a bit of lens flare but I just don’t like the bat symbol or that stupid little squat ‘v’ like it’s just hiding right there, like no one’s going to see it, who’s it trying to fool!”

.

Can you tell a difference between the two posters? I can… but barely.

…and breath. Whew. Glad I got all that out. Guess what, I’ll still go see this movie. My (minor) complaints have done nothing to ruin the excitement I have for seeing Supes and Capes fighting baddies all up and down the Gotham/Metropolis tri-state area, or whatever. It’s going to be fun.

But enough about me, what about you? What are your thoughts on the title, the poster, the socio-economic disparity that plagues our planet, anything!? Leave a comment, let’s be friends. Cheers.
